Find a Bible-believing church that teaches it as the inerrant* Word of God.  Participate in the church with discipleship training and gather often with the church brethren.  Learn how you can serve in the church with your God-given talents and Spiritual Gift(s).  Share the gospel message with your personal testimony to others as a witness demonstrating the love of God, and how you were saved from sin by the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Do not be ashamed, or shy to speak about your salvation testimony to others.

"7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace." (2 Timothy 7-9)

"If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.” (Mark 8:38)

Run from any church that does not teach the entire Bible, and intentionally chooses to ignore certain Bible passages that they feel uncomfortable with.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16)

*Incapable of being wrong

Way to Salvation

Accept the free gift of Salvation and eternal life by God's grace through faith

  1. Acknowledge... that you are a sinner, and need God's forgiveness.

  2. Repent...                  for your sins and turn away from sin towards Jesus Christ.

  3. Believe...                 that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, and rose from the grave to come back to life. He is the only way to heaven as it is not by works but through Him.

  4. Accept...             Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Commit and welcome Him into your life.   Ask this from the Lord through prayer

It's not a "Prayer" that saves.

It is your personal conversation with Jesus, and your decision to follow Him, and allow the Holy Spirit to change your will.

Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner, I am sorry for my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness.  I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead.  I turn away from my sins and repent of them while turning to you.  I invite You to come into my heart and life.  I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.

             In Your Name, Amen

What is a Christian according to the Bible?

Many may say they are Christians and follow personal beliefs* that have a higher priority in their lives than Biblical Convictions*.

An example of some Christian Convictions is listed below:

  • The Word of God is as relevant today as it was in the past, even though our contemporary lives have some differences from what the Early Church experienced.  The Holy Spirit inspired the writing of the Bible.

  • Committed to worship with the brethren

  • Upholds the Gospel of Jesus Christ

  • Accepts they are saved from the power of sin, and their sins are forgiven.

  • Knows they will be in Heaven

  • Not ashamed of the Word of God

  • Is a follower and models the life of Jesus Christ

A Christian can be found in many churches and denominations.

A Christian has accepted Christ into their life and is, as the Bible describes, "Born Again" because they have made a personal decision to accept Him as their Lord and Savior. This is an act/choice of their will.

A Christian will experience a change in their life to put God first and see a change in their attitude towards others (e.g., Love your neighbor as yourself).  If you are not experiencing a change seen by others (e.g., By their fruit, you shall know them), you may need to seek out Christ and truly pray for your salvation to receive, commit, and submit to Him.

A Christian is a person who accepts the work of Christ in Christianity to serve and share The Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.  (e.g., Take up your cross and follow me).

You cannot inherit Christianity

You are not saved and become a Christian by joining a church, a denomination, a creed, being a moral person, speaking with religious leaders, or believing in man-made doctrines.

You are saved by Jesus Christ

John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."
